Customer: Oksana, 37, cosmetologist from Kharkov.
Brand: work on an existing brand.
Product: daily washing gel for sensitive and problematic skin.
Target audience: women 25-40 years old with problematic or sensitive skin who want gentle, safe cleansing without aggressive surfactants.
When I first started out, I didn’t know how to choose the right manufacturer. I believed the promises: “We’ll do it quickly and cheaply”. In reality, I received a sample that delaminated, smelled bad and was not what I wanted at all. And communication was stressful. After that, I knew for sure: I needed not just a contractor, but a partner who saw me as a brand. That’s when I realized that I had to look for new production.
Oksana, founder of a brand for sensitive skin.

What problems did Oksana face:
She was offered a catalog base, which they called a “customized formula.”
The sample had synthetic flavoring, although she asked for completely odorless.
After the second sample, a precipitate and color change appeared – no reasoned answer was given to the question “what happened?”.
Feedback is lengthy – waited 5-6 days to reply to messages.
They did not want to finalize the formula taking into account the comments and wishes.
At some point, Oksana canceled her collaboration with the production and unfortunately lost more than 3 months of time.
How did she find VedaLab?
Oksana chose among several companies and finally found the website of VedaLab. She analyzed the website, cases and felt trust even before the first call:
- open approach to cooperation;
- all the steps are clearly spelled out;
- the opportunity to create your own formula instead of taking a ready-made one;
- Respect for small order customers who are just starting out and don’t have thousand-dollar volumes.
? What we developed for Oksana
Washing gel based on:
- Zinc PCA – sebum-regulating action without over-drying.
- Chamomile extract – reduces irritation, soothing effect.
- Betaine and alantain are mild moisturizers.
We discussed in detail the sensation after use, the clients skin type, and the expected consistency.
Oksana received 2 samples with variations in texture and foaming level – she tested them on her clients and chose the optimal one.
? Design and packaging
- Plastic bottle with a dispenser.
- We have provided guidance on the text on the packaging, instructions and warnings as per the norms.
- The design was developed by Oksana separately, minimalistic: white label with a delicate lavender accent.
- The label provides a clear description of the function, without marketing “noise”.

? First batch
First order: 50 bottles of gel.
Selling – through personal blogging, through recommendations without aggressive advertising.
? Result
40% of the batch was sold in the first month – main sales through the beauty parlor, partly through Instagram.
Clients noted the softness of the skin, comfort after washing, reduction of irritations.
The product began to order repeatedly, as well as to give it to friends – word of mouth worked.
Customers started asking, “Can we get anything else from this line?”
Oksana has received requests from customers to expand the line – she is already planning to develop a foam and tonic.
? Oksana’s Review
In VedaLab I saw not just service, but real participation. I felt not just listened to, but heard. Everything was clear: the formula, the tests, the packaging. It was a completely different level – no tension, no fear for the result. I finally created a product for which I am not ashamed of myself or my client.
If you want to create cosmetics you’ll be proud of – let’s do it together.
