I’ve had problematic skin since childhood – combination skin with rashes and redness. I spent a long time looking for a product that would really work, but most products either over-dried or caused irritation. At some point I realized that this is the same problem for many women who don’t want to treat their skin with acids or dry it out with alcohol-based products. That’s when the idea to create my own, soft, effective and non-aggressive care for such girls appeared: with delicate but effective care for sensitive and problematic skin. No advertising miracles, just honest composition and effective ingredients.

? Elena’s request:
- Create a cream that combines moisturizing and mild anti-inflammatory action for daily care.
- Suitable for acne-prone and couperose-prone skin.
- No harsh flavor, no alcohols, no acids that “pinch”.
- Light texture, but not a fluid – it should feel nurturing.
- In the composition necessarily: niacinamide, azelaic acid (in a mild form), calendula or centella extract.
- Focused on the target group: girls with combination, sensitive or acne-prone skin.
? How product development went
- At the first consultation, we discussed her idea and desired texture – the face cream had to be “between drugstore and homemade”, without bright scents and dyes. She clearly knew who her target audience was, what problems she wanted to solve and what the product should look like.
- VedaLab’s technologist has come up with a formula based on:
- niacinamide – improves skin barrier function and is optimal for daily use.
- calendula CO2-extract – soothes and relieves redness;
- azelaic acid – mild anti-inflammatory action.
- The client tested the samples herself and on acquaintances with sensitive skin. Provided feedback: “pleasant texture, reduces redness, no stinging – even after washing”.
- We adapted the texture to a bottle with a dispenser (in the beginning we planned a jar), made a light cream, without fragrances (only the natural smell of extracts), which is easy to apply, quickly absorbed, does not leave a greasy shine.
? Packaging and production
- The client chose a white matte bottle with a 50 ml dispenser – looks stylish.
- She did the design with her designer, we provided the necessary product information and recommendations for labeling according to current legislation.
- The first order – 100 units, production and packaging took place in 2 weeks after the approval of the formula.

? Result
- The brand launched via Instagram and on marketplace.
- After 1.5 months, Elena ordered a second batch of 300 units.
- The client plans to additionally create a new line with a wash gel and serum for the same target audience.
